Starting August 1st, we will be resuming “curbside” care for the safety of our clients and staff. We will be asking people to wait in their vehicle while we examine and treat their pets inside of our hospital.
Here’s how it will work:
We will collect a full history from you over the phone in advance of your pet’s appointment.
When you arrive at our hospital, please call us from your car and let us know what vehicle you are in. (If you don’t have a mobile phone, please indicate this when you schedule so we can watch for your arrival).
A staff member will come out and bring your pet from your vehicle into our hospital and directly to the doctor for examination. For everyone’s safety, all dogs will need to be leashed and cats in a carrier.
After your pet’s exam, we will call you with the doctor’s exam findings and recommendations and discuss/complete and needed diagnostics and treatments.
At the end of the visit, we will call you to complete a credit card transaction over the phone and bring your pet back to your vehicle. (FYI, we prefer card payments during this time. If this is not possible, please let us know that you will be using cash or check).
Medications and prescription food refills will be provided as usual. Please call from the parking lot and a staff member will bring your medication and/or prescription food to your car.
Starting August 1st we will resume our usual Saturday hours. We will, however, be closed September 5th to observe Labor Day, and give our staff a much needed holiday weekend.
If you or someone in your family has been exposed to COVID-19 or has symptoms that may be related, please inform our staff when scheduling so we can advise you on the safest way to examine your pet.
We feel this “curbside care” approach is the most responsible action we can implement to stay open to help our patients. It will help minimize everyone’s exposure during your pet’s visit with us. We promise to treat your pets with all the love and care they’re used to getting when they’re here.
