Sue has practiced in Horsham, Danville, Philadelphia, and Florida while traveling with her husband who served in the United States Air Force before she returned to State College. Dr. Miller grew up in the Hershey area, receiving her bachelor’s in Animal Bioscience from Penn State. She then graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent a clinical year at Oklahoma State University. However, Jamie missed the mountains and trees of the East so she came back to PA and joined Shippensburg Animal Hospital in 2013. Since she will forever bleed the Penn State Blue & White, Dr. Miller and her husband have settled in the State College area. In her spare time Jamie enjoys all things outdoors. When she's not helping manage the practice, Liz can be found teaching or taking group fitness classes at Fitology, or out hiking with Cattle Dogs Kensi Roo & Fugee. In addition to her demanding dogs, she goes home to a cat: Bugs.

  • Dougy

Dougy joined UDVH in 2008 and has been gracing us with his presence ever since. He's been known to steal a turkey sandwich or beg for your lunch. Dougy's favorite task is helping with laundry, but only when it's straight out of the dryer. Clients often comment on his gorgeous blue fur which he uses to hide his big belly. If we don't give in to his dinner demands right at 5pm, he may be found eating plant leaves in the waiting room.

  • Mylow

Mylow is a diabetic patient we adopted in 2012. At first he didn't like his new home and bit the staff when it was time for insulin. Luckily his temperament improved and you can now find him greeting clients at the reception desk. Mylow is best at always being in the way or waltzing into rooms to say hi to patients. He and Dougy compete to clean up treats after an appointment, or you may hear him walking around the practice meowing loudly to his favorite toy.
